Art in any form is not only an accumulation of each individual’s experiences but can encompass all areas of study. Artists find inspiration in everything from the visible world and people around them to the invisible world of our own minds and souls. Artists make connections between the two realms and help us realize that everything is connected. I feel that I am a lifelong learner and as a teacher I must keep learning so that I can pass on knowledge to others. I find inspiration in many things: history, science, philosophy, literature, spirituality, nature and human interaction. Whether I am painting, drawing or creating digital photographs all these inspirations tend to weave their way into my work. The more that I learn the more in depth my art becomes.
